LELESIL Offer  glass thin film distillation system we produce uses high borosilicate glass 3.3.

The metal parts in contact with the crude materials are 316L stainless steel and the wiper is made

of PTFE. The main body has excellent sealing and corrosion resistance.

 

The thin film evaporator consists primarily of a heating jacket, an internally rotatable wiper, and a condenser and vacuum system. In the high vacuum system, the feeding liquid is fed from the upper part of the evaporator. After that, under the driving of the gravity and the rotating wiper, a downwardly swirling film is formed along the inner wall surface of the jacket.

 The finishing fluid is discharged from the bottom discharger, while the steam is discharged

from the upper part. The system is very suitable for liquid materials with high viscosity, easy crystallization, easy scaling, suspended solids or heat sensitive properties, and is widely used for pretreatment and finishing of products in the chemical, pharmaceutical, health care and other industries.

Pure water whether from a still, deionized or reverse osmosis system, is an excellent solvent and will quickly absorbs carbon dioxide from the air to form a very dilute solution of carbonic acid. In a water still this solution can form as the steam liquefies in the condenser resulting in a distillate output of pH of 5 - 6.5 This is a normal level which has little effect on most laboratory procedures.

A slightly acidic pH value does not mean that water is contaminated as the carbon dioxide level of less than one part per million will cause a pH of 5. It is vital to protect the water from the air otherwise the carbon dioxide will be absorbed quickly.

Salient Features & Construction : Doubled walled Water Still (Barnstead Type) is made up of Outer MS powder coated and Inner tank made of SS. The gap in between is filled with glass wool. All the fittings such as condenser, top, and outer chamber are made up of Stainless Steel. The raw water is first made to pass around the tubes in the condenser, where it gets heated neatly to the boiling point thus economizing the heating energy . The evaporators are fitted with a set of totally immersed long life heating elements and are easily removable.
